A WordPress Plugin extends WordPress's ability to do almost everything you can imagine. A Plugin is actually a set of one or more functions also known as a program which is written in PHP scripting language and adds a specific set of services or features to the WordPress site or so called weblog. Plugins can be seamlessly integrated with the WordPress weblog with the use of access points and methods provided by the WordPress Plugin "Application Program Interface" [API].
